Art is incredibly important to me, it allows me to escape from the everyday stressors of life. I will aspire to use art on a daily basis for the duration of my life. Although I will not be pursuing a ceramic career, I aim to use everything I have learned over the past 3 years as a ceramic student in my future endeavours. For example, I will continue to develop the creative and problem solving aspects of my mind that I have been forced to challenge as a ceramic student.

I become inspired by many things, one of my most common inspirations would be nature. It is so influential to me because of its unadulterated beauty. When nature is raw, unscathed by the pollution of us humans, it is truly magnificent. Just being outdoors, watching how the world interacts is undoubtedly my largest inspiration.

My current work captures this theme. I want the viewer to feel just as much comfort as I feel while surrounded by the organic elegance of nature, when they look at my work. In the future I would like to challenge my sculpting abilities and attempt to create something visually mind-boggling to the viewer.
